Quaint Beach Town in Flamingo Bay
Watch our Flamingo/Potrero VIDEO! The second Potrero is actually the original Costa Rican town, and is traditionally laid out around a central soccer or "futbal" square. The low density Casa del Sol Condos are situated just off the square near a pristine white sand cove called Playa Penca, and the Casa del Sol commercial center offers small shops and a restaurant. The town also has several excellent typical restaurants, a small grocery store, a school and a church.
The name Potrero refers to two Costa Rican beach towns in the North Pacific Guanacaste province. One is the expatriate community of Surfside, which is about 10 minutes north of Flamingo and faces the proposed Flamingo marina site. Potrero real estate is mixed and offers bargain priced lots, affordable condos and nice near beach and beachfront homes.
Nestled in the hills above Potrero are stunning Costa Rica homes and lots with spectacular ocean views. The most established community is Pacific Heights, which offers estate properties with dramatic views.
