Playa Langosta Costa Rica is an upscale beach community that adjoins Tamarindo and must be accessed by driving through the town center. Playa Langosta is situated on a point bordered by an estuary and Hacienda Pinilla to the south and Tamarindo to the north. The east side of Langosta is a 600 acre mangrove nature reserve, while the west is spectacular Pacific coastline.

Real estate in Langosta tends towards luxury properties, including a stretch of stunning beachfront homes that is coined the "millionaire's mile". Playa Langosta is one of the most popular Costa Rica luxury real estate communities, with condos and townhomes varying in price range. Newer and titled beachfront property leans towards the high end of the market and often includes luxury features such as ocean views, roof decks, Jacuzzis and private pools.

The beach at Langosta is a mix of sandy stretches and rocky outcroppings, wonderful for strolling and exploring the tide pools. The community has a small grocery store, commercial center and restaurants, but many residents shop and eat in Tamarindo, which is a 15-20 minute walk away.
